Hovden Fjellstoge and Vandrehjem offers a warm and cosy atmosphere. You can stay here just relaxing and still experience some magical moments; taste the chef’s fabulous mountain trout, feel the freedom of the open mountain plateau, or let the whistling breeze take you back to the days of reindeer farming in the 1800’s.

Fjellstoga offers accommodation in separate rooms, in cabins and at a camping site. Double rooms or four-person rooms are available, all with ensuite showers and toilets. The cabins are of various sizes from simple 4-bed campground cabins to comfortable cabins for 10 persons.

Fjellstoga serves traditional food in a nice mountain lodge atmosphere. In the cosy family restaurant the chef will cater for your personal needs, whether you stay on your own or are part of a bus group. We are pleased to offer you three-course meals, traditional food and meals for larger groups. New: Book our grill room for BBQ with whole grilled lamb. Ask for our grill menu. Also perfect for lunch buses.

Hovden is the mountain eldorado of South Norway, a scenic landscape that lies between 750 and 1500 meter above sealevel. In summer it’s an ideal location for cycling, hiking, fishing and swimming.
