Norefjell, Oslo's nearest mountain range, boasts northern Europe's longest vertical drop, 1010 metres, in one of the longest runs, 6.5 kilometres! A winter adventure for all ages! Norefjell is the right place – both for those who fancy the challenge of a black trail and for families with children or others who want to take it a little easier: 6.5 km and 1010 metres for speed and thrills, or the less challenging blue trails down in the valley. At the main facility, midway up the slope, are a ski school and amenities designed for children and beginners. There is also an area designed for children at the base of the slope with a magic carpet ski lift for the smallest and a 300 metre long slope for older kids. For snowboarders there is a terrain park with halfpipe, rails and big air. And for those who want to ski, there are over 160 km of groomed and marked trails, both at the base of the slope and right up the mountain at 1500 metres. |
News At Bøseter, nestled in the mountain, the Quality Spa & Resort Norefjell opened in spring 2009 offering some 2000 beds in apartments and hotel rooms. The slopes at Bøseter are perfect for families with children and for beginners. Several new lifts under construction (together with a new children's lift) will link the hotel complex with the rest of the ski resort. Adjacent to the spa is a development including a swimming pool, 16 metre high indoor climbing wall, year-round outdoor skating rink... and, of course, restaurant and bar for après ski! Summer in Norefjell Destination – a splendid starting point for your holiday! Norefjell is not just a winter sports centre. During the summer months, the district offers a range of tempting activities including hiking, horseback tours and cycling , in the mountains and down along lake Krøderen, through the forest, and in Sigdal and Eggedal.
