Sundvolden Hotel is one of Norway’s most traditional hotels and is beautifully situated at the entrance to the ancient Krokskogen forest. For almost a thousand years, kings, nobles, travelling salesmen and more recently business men and women, have visited the hotel. Our hotel safeguards the best of the past while looking ahead and caters to the hotel guests of the future. We can provide very modern conference rooms, a separate Spa and Fitness Centre, a spectacular kitchen and an Art Gallery. As a guest, you are our top priority and we will do our very best to make your stay interesting and memorable. In August 2010 we open a new part of the hotel with 86 brand new rooms.

Surroundings
Sundvolden Hotel is idyllically located at Tyrifjorden, just 45 minutes from the centre of Oslo. Nordmarka is on our doorstep with its endless miles of cross country ski runs, cycle tracks and paths. We recommend the trip up to the ‘King’s View’, where you will find a panoramic view over beautiful Ringerike. For those who love golf, we can offer Tyrifjord Golf Club which is ranked as one of the best courses in the country.

Bon Appétit
Every meal is an experience at Sundvolden Hotel. Our chef uses local produce and even has his own herb garden right outside the kitchen window. We have our own baker and if you are up early enough you will smell freshly baked bread all the way out into the reception.
