Gålå is situated in the Gudbrandsdalen valley, about halfway between Trondheim and Oslo, roughly a 3-hour drive from Oslo Airport Gardermoen, and approx. 20 minutes from the E6 at Harpefoss or Vinstra.

In Gålå people and mountains meet in a truly Norwegian atmosphere, where hospitality is rooted in good, old-fashioned Gudbrandsdal valley culture. When you are out and around in the mountains around Gålå, it is easy to imagine that Peer Gynt might suddenly appear from behind a rock.
