Eastern Norway » Gamle Hvam Museum
Welcome to this idyllic open-air museum at the old farm Store Hvam, where people have lived and worked for more than 1500 years!
The Norwegian artists Dagfin Werenskiold and Henrik Sørensen found inspiration for their illustration of Norwegian folk tales here.
The grand log buildings rest harmoniously around the two courtyards. Indoors you can see extensive exhibitions of farming machines and tools, and in the garden you’ll find collections of old roses and perennials.
