The third largest open-air museum in Norway. More than 90 buildings dated to the period from 1611 to 1940, revealing much about the history of the 350 km long Glomma Valley through the last 400 years.

Exhibitions:

  • “Latjo drom” – culture and history of the travelling people
  • “Form” – the museum’s most beautiful folk art
  • “Diversified Hedmark” – about immigration to Hedmark county
  • “The Old Doctor” and “The Pharmacy” – medical history
  • Art gallery

Play area for children. Refreshments available. Groups may book tours of the museum throughout the year. Please contact us for booking arrangements.
