The hotel
Lampeland Hotell has central location on the countryside in Numedal, close to Kongsberg. Mountains and city areas are within a short distance from the hotel. The hotel has 51 contemporary rooms with shower, WC, telephone, radio, TV and WLAN. Lampeland Hotell is well-known for a pleasant atmosphere, and for delicious and home-made food. In connection with the reception there are comfortable lounges for relaxing and social events. Nearby the hotel there are several opportunities for hiking during summer and winter. A nice cotter´s farm from the 1700 century is located close to the hotel. At this place we can offer meals and activities. Our Event Manager arrange activities and events in accordance with the groups needs and wishes.

Many tourist attractions
The hotel is located in Numedal, also known as the Medieval Valley. Numedal is that place in Norway were you will find most buildings from the Middel Ages. There are several stave churches, old farms and other buildings from this epoch in Numedal.

E.K.T. Langedrag Naturpark is located 1,5 hour drive from the hotel.

20 minutes drive from the hotel is Kongsberg located, with many sights and attractions. One of them is the famous Silver Mines, runned from 1623 to 1958.

To Blefjell the distance is also approximately 20 minutes by car. Blefjell has beautiful areas for hiking and skiing, and a lot of lakes for fishing.

The Artist Valley is located 30 minutes drive from the hotel. There is possible to visit the homes of the famous artists Th. Kittelsen and Chr. Skredsvig. Blaafarveværket with glass and art exhibitons is also located in this area.
