Visit our Museum Centre at Ramsmoen in Tynset to see our permanent and temporary exhibitions and to learn about our exciting cultural and conservation work, here and at our 11 other branches in the region: Alvdal museum, the Aukrust Centre, Tynset Village Museum, Tylldalen Village Museum, Bjørgan in Kvikne, the Dølmotunet and Sætersgård collections in Tolga, Os Museum, Folldal Village Museum, the Folldal Mine, and Rendalen Village Museum.

Dølmotunet is an active museum-farm in the middle of Tolga town. Dairy maids and farm kids give tours, and serve coffee, waffles, rømmegrøt, and more. There are activities such as cooking, handicrafts, farm work and folk art all summer long. Dølmotunet is made up of nine houses closely arranged in a square, and consists of among others, a main building, a stable, an herb garden, a cow barn, and a sheep-barn.

The centre, designed by the distinguished architect Sverre Fehn, was built to house the fantastic creations of the artist and humorist Kjell Aukrust. This is an exhibition and experience centre, where you can also meet such cartoon characters as Solan and Ludvik.

Unique industrial area from 19th-early 20th century, designated a cultural monument, comprising about 60 buildings. Train rides through the mine, national park centre, museum/exhibitions, overnight accommodation, cafe, group arrangements/catering, culture trails. Beautiful views of Rondane National Park.

Visit the world of journalist and author Jacob Breda Bull (1853 -1930). See the environment from which he drew his inspiration. And don't miss the collection of exhibits donated by legendary accordionist Ottar E. Akre. Groups can order traditional meals. The "Bullspill" theatrical event is held in July.
