Haukliseter Fjellstue has a long tradition as a tourist facility, having started as a traditional summer dairy for one of the farms down in the valley, and developing into an attractive and modern mountain lodge with food of the best, beer and wine. The hotell is located at Høvringen at the entrance to the Rondane National Park, 120 km north of Lillehammer, and 8 km from the E6. At an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level, Haukliseter commands a panorama view of Høvringen an the surrounding mountains. Accessible by car, or by train to Otta in Gudbrandsdalen and from Otta up the mountain by bus.

The terrain around Høvringen and the Rondane mountains, with easy walks as well as more rugged terrain, har something for everyone. You can take a different route every day on well-kept trails. Haukliseter represents the Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT) at Høvringen and is a superb starting point for hiking in the Rondane mountains. There are also many other activities available both in summer and winter.
