The Norwegian Forest Museum has national responsibility for presenting the history of hunting, trapping, fishing, forestry and forest industry. With more than 110 000 visitors to the museum annually, the museum is one of the largest in all of Norway. The Klevfos Industrial Museum at Løten and the Sørlistøa Fløtermuseum at Osen are owned by the same foundation running the Norwegian Forest Museum.

Exhibitions:
The forest in focus - Norwegian forest history is presented. Pathways through nature - an exhibition focusing on our natural heritage
The hunter`s kingdom - Present individual animal species and the history of hunting.
From mountain to coast - The aquarium. From mountain to coast is the only aquarium in Norway focused primarily on fresh water fish.
Pathways - The first part of PATHWAYS through nature is an exhibition focusing on our natural heritage. The exhibition shows the diversity of nature and its abundant wildlife, and explore the past and present world offishermen and the hunter.

The Nordic hunting and fishing days will be arranged for the 50th year in august 2012. Over the years this event has become Norway`s most important get-together for people who love the outdoors in general, and hunters and anglers in particular, with more than 32 000 visitors annually.
