Approx. 4. km north of Skien town at Venstøp The poet Henrik Ibsen was born I Skien in 1828. Henrik Ibsen’s memories from his youth in Skien played a large role in his poetry. He lived with his family at Venstøp. Besides the authentic, listed buildings, the pretty, little farmyard features a multimedia exhibition on Ibsen’s life and works.
