The Viking ship Built for the 1994 Olympic Games, but it is still amongst the best skating arenas in the world. The arena is host to many special events such as large international championships, concerts and trade shows. The Viking ship is 25.000 m2 and has a capacity for 20.000 spectators. The hall is open to visitors and guided tours on request.

Music from the Middle ages at Domkirkeodden At lake Mjøsa lies the ruins of the old Hamar Cathedral. The outdoors and indoors museum exhibits findings from the Viking age, the Middle ages and up to the present. The main attraction is the ruin of the medieval cathedral, which is protected by an impressive glass construction. Experience the medieval Hamar with beautiful song inside the glass building.

Skibladner on lake Mjøsa Treat yourself to a trip on the venerable Skibladner. The world´s oldest steam boat still running. You can take the boat to Gjøvik and Lillehammer from Hamar during summer. Visit the onboard restaurant and savour the tranquillity on the sun deck or in the friendly lounges. The restaurant can serve groups up to 100. You can charter the whole boat or just one of the lounges.

The voice of the century! Kirsten Flagstad was born in Hamar in 1895. The museum, in the house where she was born, offers a unique collection of costumes, photos and artifacts from her life. The museum organizes events, theme nights and guided tours for up to 35 persons. The Kirsten Flagstad Festival is every year in June.
