Hedmark » Langodden Gard
Langodden gard, situated right by the Glåma (or Glomma) river, is a family farm practising dairy production and forestry. Here you can experience a real farm environment, with dairy cattle grazing in pasture. Seven homey, well-equipped cottages, 20-60 m2, for self catering. Most cabins are remodelled log houses, the oldest dating from 1798. Three cabins with shower/wc. Camp site with power outlets for four vehicles. Plenty of outdoor areas. A short way to the marked hiking and cycling trails. It is a good 10 km to Jutulhogget, one of Europe's largest canyons. Roadway (20 km) to the top of the mountain Tronfjellet, 1666 metres above sea level. There are also good opportunities for fishing, with or without a boat. Langodden Farm has been awarded the Norwegian Heritage's Quality Mark Olavsrosa, which recognizes products of high quality that have their basis in Norwegian heritage. Langodden Farm is a member of Hanen, "The Cockerel", an organization promoting rural tourism and traditional farm food. |
