Løiten Brænderi
Løiten Brænderi (distillery) is home to Norway’s national liquor, Løiten Linie aquavit. Instead of a traditional guided tour through the distillery, visitors can enjoy a one-man theatrical performance depicting six individuals and their relationships to the distillery. Woven into the text are also the usual facts and figures normally expected in a guided tour, so that the "Løiten distillery story" is part of the play. Since June 1993 the piece has been staged more than 5000 times and has been seen by more than 150,000 people. Written by local author and historian Odd Magnar Syversen, the play is in Norwegian, but transcripts in several languages are available so that foreign visitor can easily follow it. En Akevisitt, which is performed on a regular basis through the summer months, can also be booked by groups all year round. Regular guided tours in Norwegian or English can be arranged on request. In the venerable premises of the Løiten Brænderi, a unique and exciting atmosphere has been created: 3000m2 of fantastic shows and magical experiences have made us one of Hedmark's biggest tourist attractions. Løiten Lys is the largest manufacturer of handmade candles. High quality and distinctive design are our hallmarks. Our candles are 100% hand crafted. Here you will find candles for all occasions. We have also opened up much of our production process so that all our visitors can get an idea of how the candles are created.

Amalie's World is a family business that values quality and craftsmanship, and many of the items it sells – felt slippers, scarves, jewellery, cards, etc. – are produced by local artisans. It has also many fine, "just right" toys for children. The owner, Tone Liljan, is particularly helpful in altering and redesigning old or new clothes. This little "gem" is really worth a visit!

The cafe operates during the day and we can accommodate small and large parties up to 200 people. The experience focuses on aquavit and traditional foods from the heart of this district. We can offer the best of Hedmark cuisine using supplies from local and regional small-scale producers.
