Hedmark » Norwegian Moose Centre - Gravberget Farm
Norway's Ministry of Agriculture has designated Norsk Elgsenter – Gravberget Gård (Norwegian Moose Centre - Gravberget Farm) a national development centre for moose as a wilderness resource. Our business areas are food, hunting and tourism experience, as well as management and research related to the moose and its habitat. We are located at beautiful Gravberget Farm, a tourist destination and course and conference centre with 60 beds, in the heart of Finnskogen, a vast wooded area on the border between Norway and Sweden. Here you will encounter true wilderness, with magnificent scenery, great fishing lakes and a rich fauna and birdlife. At Norsk Elgsenter we have tame moose in enclosures for those who wish to study the King of the Forest at close range, and in the woods around us we find all the large predators,: wolves, bears, lynx and wolverine. It is only two and a half hours by car to Gardermoen Airport. Our kitchen is famous for its superb food, based on local produce, fish and wildlife. And if you come to Gravberget for meetings, seminars or recreation, a range of activities provides refreshment, inspiration, social bonding – or just pure enjoyment. Our specialty is tailoring a programme to each group, in accordance with requirements, weather conditions and season. Following is just a small selection of all the opportunities we offer:
Welcome to an exciting encounter with Norsk Elgsenter and the chance to renew strength and energy in the natural surroundings of Gravberget Gård!
