Here you will discover majestic nature, with roots back to some of the oldest geology in Norway. The landscape is the foundation for an exceptionally rich flora, animal and birdlife.

The three National Parks will help to protect the last herd of European wild reindeer. This area has also played a central role in the history of Norway in recent time.

This provides an interconnected mountain area of 6000 km2 for your personal enjoyment and experience. Our four National Park centres will provide you with information and instruction about our vulnerable mountain nature, its history and tourist potential.
