For more than threehundred years Bekkjarvik Guesthouse has welcomed their guests to the calm and idyllic coastal place, Bekkjarvik. Since 1982 Asta and Øystein Johannessen has owned and run the guesthouse, and they have developed the place to become a heart for inhabitants of Austevoll as well as for tourists and companies holding conferences/ incentives.
Austevoll and Bekkjarvik has the shore all over with it’s 667 islands surrounded by the open fjords, some of them coming directly from the North Sea.
Austevoll offers a lot of activities and cultural events. Horseriding, searafting, guided boattrips, visit to the lighthouse Marsteinen Fyr or Slåtterøy Fyr, fishing, concerts, painting, etc.

Bekkjarvik Guesthouse is known for its outstanding kitchen and mainly use fresh products from the local nature. The seasurroundings offers many varieties of fish, mussles and shellfish. In the woods there is wild sheep and deer, and the excellent chefs find herbs and onions from their own garden. This gives an experience of taste to remember.
