THE HANSEATIC MUSEUM The Hanseatic Museum and Schøtstuene are situated on Bryggen in Bergen. A walk through the house built in 1704, gives an insight into the lives of German merchants who were for more than 400 years trading stockfish and grain from their office in Bergen.
NORWEGIAN FISHERIES MUSEUM Norwegian Fisheries Museum hosts displays in the traditional Sandviksboder in Bergen. The museum shows the history of the Norwegian fisheries, especially the last 150 years. The emphasis is on the technical and economic development in relation to the sea and its resources.
HERDLA MUSEUM Herdla Museum is located on the island Askøy west of Bergen. How the island was formed from glacial deposit is on display here, as is the German airbase from World War II and the unique wild birdlife. The area is ideal for hiking, swimming, fishing and birdwatching.
