Solstrand was built in 1896 as a holiday resort for the Bergen merchant-princes. Restoration and extension have allowed us to enhance the services we provide, but the “light, airy and picturesque wooden house” still retains its turn-of-the century charm in a rich natural and cultural landscape. The hotel has been in the Schau-Larsen family for four generations, preserving a tradition of unsurpassed hospitality, traditional and international cuisine as well as a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
