Fjord sightseeing and active fishing with Fjord Cruise Narvik
The Ofot fjord plays host to a variety of fish such as saith, cod, catfish, halibut, red fish, char, salmon, cusk and spiny dogfish, offering ample fishing opportunities. The fjord is deep, 550 m, with all the small fjord arms, you can always find somewhere to fish from land at any time during the year, and you are nearly always guaranteed a catch.

Schools of saith, mackerel and herring inhabit the Ofot fjord and surrounding them are the larger fish hunting for prey. The largest cod we have caught from a boat was 32 kg and the largest halibut was 25 kg. The cod-spawning season is from February till May.

The magnificent sea eagle is often spotted hunting for fish or grabbing the offal that we throw overboard after slaying the fish. This is a unique experience and an excellent photo opportunity. Our fishing tours can be tailored to your request. Food and beverage is served onboard. Fishing equipment can also be hired. Fjord Cruise Narvik is certified for up to 95 people for a day out on the sea.

The scenery around Narvik is breathtaking and the experience memorable. Why not hire a guide that will teach you some of the tricks and when you have caught the “Big One” you can decide whether you want it preserved and bring it with you or Fjord Cruise Narvik can prepare a meal onboard.

Walking into History and Fjord sightseeing
In the summer time you can travel by train from Narvik along the scenic Ofoten Railway to Katterat station. From Katterat you can enjoy a walk along the historic navvy trail down to Rombaksbotn. From Rombaksbotn you will be taken back by boat to Narvik. This tour is for individuals and groups.

Group bookings for deep sea fishing and fjord sightseeing
Sea fishing or fjord sightseeing for groups of six or more can be arranged all day or longer with rental of fishing equipment and catering onboard.
