Our guesthouse is originally from the 1800 - century, but has been restored and furnished to nice apartments that meets modern requests for comfort.

The size of the houses varies, but all apartments have a bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The guests can cook their own food, stay and live as one wish, and also enjoy the historic atmosphere in Sjøgata.

“Kulturverkstedet“ is one of about 100 houses located in Sjøgata, the largest protected area of timber houses in northern Norway.

Here you can visit our nice café and taste our homemade traditional food. On the walls you can take a look at beautiful professional art, and it is all for sale. Every Friday we will host a free lunch concert, and it is possible to participate in various cultural events throughout the year.

In “Alrunen Antikvariat” you can find many booktreasures and lots of local literature.

Sjøgata and “Kulturverkstedet” awarded “Olavsrosa "of Norwegian Heritage, and offers many different historical and cultural activities, combined with beautiful nature experience. If you want to learn more, please visit “Vefsn Museum” in Sjøgata.
