THE ARCTIC CIRCLE REGION

The Arctic Circle area, surrounding the city of Mo i Rana is the gateway to Arctic Norway. This is one of Norways most varied and beautiful areas, and stretches from the old fishing village Træna at the coast, to the wild Tärna mountains in Sweden. Here you can find all kinds of adventures like large wilderness areas, city life, deep fjords, and the wild Atlantic ocean. This is where you meet the Midnight Sun or the Northern light.

Activities in this area can be:

  • Hiking/ trekking at the coast of Helgeland, around the glaciers or in Norways most varied national park, Saltfjellet/ Svartisen, north of Mo i Rana. Well marked trails at the coast and in the mountains with camp sites, open cabins, own tent or hotel accommodation. Experience the area on your own or with a local guide.
  • Norways best deep sea fishing in the fjords or at the coast of Helgeland
  • Excellent fresh water fishing from the coast to the Swedish mountains
  • Excellent salmon/ sea trout fishing in the Rana or Røssåga rivers.
