Sjøgata Mosjøen
Dating back to the 1800`s, the street of Sjøgata represent the oldest part of Mosjøen. Sjøgata street is vibrant and genuine. It helps give the town its own very special atmosphere, inviting you for coffee in old-fashioned surroundings, shopping in small idyllic shops, visits to the quayside buildings, galleries and craftsman`s stalls, and to pleasant evenings in distinctive restaurants. Guided tours are offered.

Mount Torghatten
The famous mountain, with its distinctive hole all the way through, just has to be seen. Man seems very small walking through this 160 m long, 35 m tall and 20 m wide hole that the glacier and the sea dug out of the mountainside thousands of years ago.

Vega Islands
Vega ia an island realm consisting of approximately 6500 islands, isles and skerries. It is this island domain that was inscribed into UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2004. Visit the Eider duck museum at Vega, it documents the unique tradition whereby eider ducks are utilised as domestic animals and the unique coexistence of man and eider.

Svartisen glacier & caves
Discover the land of the Arctic Circle at 66 degrees, 32 minutes north latitude. The area just south of the Arctic Circle is full of adventures for the whole family. Lovund is a popular destination for bird watchers with the yearly homecoming of the puffin while Tomma offers good walking opportunities and white sandy beaches.
