Few, if any, golf courses offer such a combination of golf and magnificent scenic surroundings. We offer special events, golf packages and tailor made experiences. We have accommodation in rooms and apartments. You can also enjoy our restaurant with a scenic view of the sea, golf and the midnight sun.

Northern Lights Base Camp
From October until April in Lofoten
One of the most impressive and beautiful phenomena in our atmosphere are the Northern Lights, also called Aurora Borealis. Hov is one of the World’s best spots to experience the Northern Lights even when they are on their lowest activity.

The open horizon to the north over the sea is always fascinating and breathe taking, with or without northern lights.

You will be told stories and myths about them around the fire place. Hov was an ancient Viking settlement where the famous Viking chief Tore Hjort once lived. We offer guided nature tours close to the camp. It is possible to join fishing trips and to visit fishing villages. If weather and conditions permits you can take part in a sea safari looking for killer whales and other sea- and bird life.

We offer 1, 2 or 3 day packages which include full board, accommodation in apartments, rooms at the Lofoten Golf Links club house, Hov guest house or in Lavvo (Sami tent). We offer activities like fishing and rib safaris, guided tours in nature, storytelling and lectures about the Northern Lights. Our recommendation is to stay 3 days in order to have the best chance to see the Northern Lights.

Welcome to a gastronomic experience full of atmosphere by the beautiful Hov beach. In the lavvo (Sami tent), which seats groups from 10 to 120 people, you will find the large fireplace lit. It is also possible to set the table on the beach itself
