Oppland » Grimsdalshytta

The first Grimsdalshytta was built in 1922 by the Norwegian Tourist Association, and designed by architect Carl Berner.

In 1956 The Tourist Association bought a conserved building, which was mowed to Bjørnsgardssetra 3 280 feet above sea level in the Grimsdalen valley, where it now stands in original interior.

There are 54 beds in 2 and 4-bedded rooms, without internet or mobile coverage. You can walk from Hjerkinn, Folldal, Dovre or from Rondvassbu or Bjørnhollia via Døralseter, or you can drive from Dovre or Folldal.

We do not accept booking for just one night's stay but we welcome your order for a longer stay. We have 2, 3 and 4 bedded rooms + dormitory. Dogs are welcome. Sheets and towels can be rented at the cabin
