Lom National Park Village,
Fossbergom is the name of the centre of Lom. During the summer months, the centre of town is busling with local villagers and tourists. There are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants with outdoor patios and a consistent building tradition. The municipality centre of Lom, Fossbergom, has been heritage-listed as one of five national park villages in Norway.

Main attractions are the Lom stave church (850 years old), Norsk Fjellmuseum/ National Park Visitor Centre, Lom bygdamuseum ( open air museum and park) and Fossheim Steinsenter (mineral museum).

Approximately 90 % of the municipality of Lom is covered by glaciers and mountains with the highest mountain in Norway Galdhøpiggen (2469 meter above sealevel) and number 2 Glittertind, the two well known landmarks.

Klimapark2469
The world may be facing great climate changes. If the current climate prognosis is correct, much of the ice in Jotunheimen may disappear during the 21st century. Glaciers and ice patches in the high mountains of Oppland have already experienced increased melting. In the Klimapark2469 you can experience how nature responds to the climate changes in the mountains. You will also have an opportunity to see the unique traces from the Viking Age reindeer hunters that are literally melting out of the ice. In 2010 was an ice tunnel in the Juvfonna ice patch near Norway’s highest summit Galdhøpiggen (2469m.a.s.l) built, is an unforgettable experience. The first one in the Northen Europa. www.klimapark2469.no
