Oslo » Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art

Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art is a privately owned contemporary art museum that mounts temporary exhibitions of international art. The museum opened to the public in 1993. Since then the museum has confirmed its position as an important institution for the presentation of contemporary art, both through mounting prestigious exhibitions, but also through the large holdings of Norwegian and international contemporary art.

During the autumn of 2012 Astrup Fearnley Museum will move into a new building at Tjuvholmen designed by world renowned architect Renzo Piano. Located in a park along the waterfront of Oslo it will embody the collection of the museum, temporary exhibitions as well as a shop and cafe. We welcome the public to an exciting exhibition program, which include the greatest names in the international arena of art.
