Welcome to Lysebu! Lysebu is owned and run by the Fondet for dansk-norsk samarbeid (the Fund for Danish-Norwegian Cooperation), and is Norway’s national gift to Denmark as thanks for food aid during the Second World War. The aim of the fund is to contribute to increased understanding and cooperation between Denmark and Norway in areas relating to culture.
Lysebu is a unique place for meetings, conferences and groups. It is beautifully situated in Holmenkollen, like a fairytale castle.
You feel welcome as soon as you enter the courtyard. It is a restful place, created out of a wonderful interaction between magnificent scenery and traditional building skills. Inside the doors, the peace gains a pulse and energy from the other guests, as well as our superb service. A consistent focus on details creates the entirety that makes Lysebu what it is. It can’t be described – it must be experienced. We’d love to share that experience with you.
