Take the bus from Oslo to Fagernes, a small and idyllic city in Valdres, which is start and ending point for the local mountain bus tour. Spend the afternoon in Fagernes, visit art galleries, folks museum, cafes, restaurants, the park etc. Next day, the mountain bus brings you up in the mountain farm area, you can visit one of the open mountain farms, and go back with the bus in the afternoon. Our passengership “Bitihorn” takes 98 passengers. The boat, built in 1912, offer a nice, scenic sail in a mountainous area, 1.058 meter above sea level, with several mountain peaks of more than 2.000 meters above sea level along the lake. Guests by bus may take the boatroute one way, the bus (or car) can drive around and pick up passengers at the other end of the lake “Bygdin”.
