Undredal lies in the middle of the world heritage area of western Norway in the fjord landscape of Nærøyfjorden, which is in Sognfjord. Undredal is a village that is positioned like an oasis, protected from heavy traffic. It is surrounded by beautiful natural landscape which consists of fjords, mountains with glaciers, forests, waterfalls and free flowing rivers, and a cultural landscape that puts the natural landscape in perspective.
A good starting point
-for paddling on the fjord or a place to stop on the way to Flåm and Gudvangen.

-hikes to mountain farms with fantastic views over the fjord landscape, or light walks along the fjord, through the valley or on one of the many trails on the steep mountain faces.

Undredal World Heritage House - Eldhuset
Illustrations and a programme about the reason why this area has been designated world heritage status; a rich and varied cultural heritage. How did people utilise the landscape here through the centuries, and how is it used today? A focus on running mountain farms and the local goats cheese tradition. Serving of alternative tastes with cheese and something good to drink adds an extra dimension to experiencing the cultural heritage.
Undredal Unpasteurised
A cheese shop with a wide range of Norwegian raw milk cheese, and of course the well known local goats cheese, as well as cured meats and other local produce.
Food
Small dishes, lunch and dinner with menus based on quality ingredients and local tradition in close partnership with local farmers and suppliers. Undredal World Heritage House is surrounded by high mountains, and the unique fjord landscape emits a pleasant and special atmosphere as the meal is experienced.
Underdalsbui – Country shop
A service that is uniquely characteristic comprising of the local goats cheese, groceries, tax-free souvenirs and post-office services, in addition to football betting.
Undredal Church
A stave church anno 1147. The smallest church in Scandinavia and one of the oldest in Norway. During the restoration of the interior in 1962, the previously concealed distempered decor was revealed on the walls, ceiling, roof and pulpit. The church is a rare cultural treasure and well worth a visit with a guided tour performed by a local guide.
