The gallery:
Galleri Straume is a beautiful art gallery with plenty of soul. Situated in the village Øyfjell in the heart of Vinje in west Telemark County, the building was originally a carpentry workshop, built in 1946. Now totally renovated, it houses a variety of events and activities in addition to its exciting art exhibitions.

Here you can browse and buy art all year round; we also have a fascinating, nostalgic hobby and gift shop on the second floor. We have two floors filled with interesting visual art and a separate department for crafts in the form of pottery, jewelry and more.

"The Old Lady":
"The Old Lady" is a hobby and gift shop with a nostalgic feel located on the second floor of Galleri Straume. It is filled with hobby materials, scrapbooking equipment, yarns and accessories, decorative items and more. The Old Lady follows the gallery's opening hours.

Creative Cafe:
Every Thursday night is "Creative Cafe" night at Galleri Straume. Enjoy your hobby with us, or just come to see the exhibition and have a cup of coffee in our cozy coffee-nook.

Other offers:
On our home page you can see what is happening at any given time: concerts, courses, seminars, meetings, youth cafe, children's activities, etc. The house is used for many functions and events.

For hire:
It is possible to rent the building for specific events, private parties, etc. In this regard, please note that we do not permit alcohol or smoking on our premises.
