Vest-Agder » Inspiration Sørlandet
Welcome to Sørlandet, the southernmost part of Norway. Even though most tourists come here to enjoy summer, sunshine and the skerries, there is, in fact, a flourishing cultural life the whole year round. You can enjoy a number of festivals, especially the international church festival itself, operas, art exhibitions, concerts and theatre performances. Join an elk safari, go fishing or feel the wind in your hair while experiencing a storm at the Lindesnes lighthouse. |

| Why not go for a walk through the renaissance town of Kristiansand? Posebyen, covering 10 blocks, contains Northern Europe’s largest collection of low, terraced, white wooden houses, dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. In the opposite part of the town, you’ll find the fish market, with live fish and shellfish on sale. Just outside the city centre, there’s a recreational area, Baneheia, with marked walking and skiing trails. The peninsula, Odderøya, with its cliffs and walking paths, offers great views. Sørlandet is a great place to be – all year round. |
