Angvik Gamle Handelssted has roots back to the 1500s when sailing ships from Holland anchored in the bay to buy timber. They started a tradition of taking care of the travellers. Today, the hotel has a high standard, and is built on the emplacement of the old barrel factory. Identical designs and partly the same material as the old barrel factory have been used. The hearth in Bøkkerstua dates back to the time "Bøkkeren" made barrel, so even if the hotel is a new building the story is still to be found in between the walls.

We have an excellent kitchen serving delicious food from local culture and traditions. National romantic art, cosy hearth, white tablecloths and nice chinaware are some of the keywords. The hotel is open throughout the year (except during Christmas and Easter holidays).
