Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen is a museum comprising an exhibition building, the composer Edvard Grieg’s house from 1885, the composer’s cabin and Troldsalen concert hall. The interiors of Grieg’s house and the composer’s cabin are authentic. Grieg’s Steinway grand piano still stands in the living room, and is used for small concerts on special occasions. Edvard Grieg lived and worked at Troldhaugen from 1885 until his death in 1907. His burial place is located in the mountainside facing the lake.

The exhibition building was opened in 1995 and houses a permanent ex-hibition, multi-media room, café and offices. Concerts are held regularly in Troldsalen concert hall in the s ummer and autumn.

Summer concerts: Every Wednesday and Sunday at 18:00 and every Saturday at 14:00. (from 15 June – 17 August). Concerts tickets: NOK 220 / NOK 160. Lunch time concerts every day in June, July and August at 13.00 (Tickets: NOK 100)
