Fjordcruise at the Hardangerfjord
In the idyllic fjord village Steinstø, directly by the scenic road Fv 7,the passenger boat “M/V Peer Gynt” is waiting to take you on a beautiful fjord cruise. In Steinstø you will find good parking facilities for buses.

Peer Gynt has a capacity of 58 persons. Small snacks and refreshments are available in the onboard kiosk. Lunch menu for groups can be preordered. Food and drinks on board by appointment. Dining capacity: 45 persons. Please ask for menu and prices. Beer and wine licensed. Cruising speed: 9 knots.

Our most popular event is a fjord cruise on the spectacular Fyksesund, a narrow arm of the Hardangerfjord, surrounded by steep green mountain-sides and beautiful waterfalls, cascading down from the mountains. At the very end of the fjord arm, we approach Botnen, the cradle of the first Hardanger fiddle. This outlying hideaway can be reached by boat only. Duration of the tour: 1,5 hours.

Peer Gynt can also bring you to your preferred destination in the Hardanger area. Seeing the landscape from the boat is a wonderful experience. If you wish to try out the local home made cuisine, we recommend that you visit “Steinstø Fruit Farm” www.steinsto.no in Steinstø or “Botnen Gjestetun” www.botnengjestetun.no at Botnen. Both are well known for delicious meals.
