Visit our facilities:
Vitengarden [the Science Farm]
At the science farm Vitengarden, visitors shall “learn by doing”. Explore where our food comes from, for how long you have to cycle in order to burn it off and how much horsepower you generate. Vitengarden has a large exhibit of agricultural machinery and a farm that dates back to 1878 where you can meet farm animals that were typical for the region only a few decades ago. The museum is especially devoted to the “green” sciences and provides experiences and information about the cultural landscape, development of tools, agriculture and food production through the ages. Café
Vitenfabrikken [the Science Factory]
The main themes at Vitenfabrikken are subjects related to science, mathematics, regional industrial history and astronomy. Here you can take a journey through space in our Planetarium, explore the relationship between technology and art and take a guided tour through our authentic oat flakes mill. Apart from exploring our exhibits, you can during weekends and the summer season take part in several activities such as our spectacular science show. Café

Tungenes Fyr [lighthouse]
Located on the northern edge of the region, the lighthouse has helped sailors for more than 180 years to get safely in to Stavanger. It is today a cultural lighthouse with many activities and exhibits. The lighthouse building shows how the keeper and his family lived in the 1930s. Café.
Grødaland [museum farm]
Said to be one of the most beautiful and best preserved farms in Rogaland. It represents a typical coastal farm for the region, with a magnificent view to the sea in the west.
Limagarden [museum farm]
Located in an old and beautiful cultural landscape with a magnificent view across the “Limavatnet” lake, Limagarden consists of buildings and a farmyard from the period 1800-1939.
Haugabakka [rural museum]
One of our smaller museum with an interesting collection of tools and other farming implements used more than a century ago. Various exhibitions throughout the year.
