The staff at Svelgen Hotel would like to welcome you to a memorable stay. With the North Sea as our closest neighbour, between glacier and mountains you will find Bremanger District in Sogn og Fjordane only 45 minutes by car north of the small town of Florø . Here you will find an abundance of experiences in the surrounding area and strikingly beautiful walking terrain with marked trails and walk maps for the area around Norway’s most western glacier, the Ålfote glacier. Svelgen is an ideal starting point for car day trips to Geirangerfjorden, Nærøyfjord, Stryn Summer Ski Centre and Briksdals glacier. Nearby attractions are Northern Europe’s highest cliff ’Hornelen’ and Northern Europe’s largest rock carving area . We hire out boats, canoes, kayaks and fishing equipment. You will find a distinguished coastal culture to the west and good conditions for salt water fishing in addition to fresh water fishing (approx. 100 mountain waters).

Svelgen Hotel is comparatively small, but a modern hotel with 37 double rooms and 2 suites. The rooms have been arranged so that our guests will feel comfortable in relaxed surroundings. The hotel is situated in Svelgen which is the district centre in Bremanger municipality. The hotel has its own training studio and solarium.

All roads leads to Svelgen
In Sogn & Fjordane county you find beautiful Bremanger and Svelgen Hotel. If you travel via Førde it takes about one hour and ten minutes by car to our hotel. By boat or air you will arrive at Florø which hosts both the closest airport and harbour. Traveling from Nordfjord or Møre & Romsdal, simply take the ferry from Stårheim to Isane and follow the road to Svelgen which is apprx. 30 minutes of driving.
