Even if more than a century of tradition and experience isn’t persuasive enough, the combination of our location and classic rooms make the Victoria Hotel a sure winner if you are setting out for Rogaland.

The hotel was completed in 1900 in the New Renaissance style, and has since remained as a genuine landmark for those sailing into “Vågen”, Stavanger’s city centre harbour.

Our 107 comfortable guest rooms are decorated with Rococo and Empire features, but we also offer several rooms fitted out for those who prefer more contemporary surroundings. All our rooms are equipped with what our guests would expect of a professional business hotel, such as flat-screen television, free wireless internet access, a mini-bar and much more.

Our course and conference organisers can arrange meetings for up to 180 people and, as you would expect, we are naturally fully equipped in terms of technical aids. Why not hold your company Board meeting in our stately and genuine “Boardroom”, and afterwards enjoy an excellent dinner in one of our restaurants?

If you have a special occasion to celebrate, there is no better setting than the Victoria Hotel. For more than a century, our elegant function rooms have provided the setting for all kinds of celebrations, and our kitchens are renowned for their creative interpretations of traditional dishes prepared using genuine local ingredients.

At the Victoria, you don’t have to choose between “fancy and casual”. Why not just say “yes” to both? Our homely Big Horn Steak House offers generous portions of genuine succulent Norwegian steak served in informal and welcoming surroundings. If you are looking for something a little more stylish, we recommend the Nero, our acclaimed basement restaurant. This Italian-inspired gourmet restaurant, decorated in a contemporary style, has after only a few years established itself as one of Norway’s most exciting eating places.

Our popular street-level Holmen Bar can boast a genuine Norwegian cocktail bartender champion, together with the region’s largest selection of whiskies. There isn’t much that our expert bar staff don’t know about these whiskies, so if you want to know more, just ask.
